I've seen this book before, but it just came up again and its still just as unbelievable. I mean, I'm a liberal guy but these books are ridiculous. They basically paint the Democratic party as the saviors of the human race without any kind of opposing view. And even if it had an opposing viewpoint, its targeted toward children. Children don't know why (as an example in the book) funding the fire department is important or what the trade offs are if you don't. These books are pure, brain washing, shameful propaganda. I'm reminded of the poor kids I used to see in college who came with the fanatical preacher who would talk in front of the student union. They would walk around with signs that said "Jesus hates fags". When you'd talk to them they'd give scripted, robotic answers back about what the Lord says. These books are full of scripted thought and are no different.

My arms feel like Jello. Today was the most difficult yet, and I had to take longer breaks in between each set. Depending how I feel at the end of the week I may have to repeat.

Hundred Pushups: Week 2 Exhaustion test

Just did my end of week 2 exhaustion test and could do 17 push-ups! That's a far cry from 100, but a hell of an improvement over 2 weeks when I could only do 4. I took an extra day off this weekend because I helped move a couch on Friday and that made me more sore than any of these push-ups.... I'll start week 3 tomorrow.

Dance dance dance

Not only is it a Murakami book you should read, but its the subject of this short film. The music is close to being too inspirational sounding, but I like the whole thing too much to be bothered by it. Oh, if its all chunky and skippy, turn off HD. It doesn't really affect the image quality (as far as I could tell) and its a lot faster.

Hundred Pushups: Week 2 Day 3

5-5-4-4-10.

I'm sore all the time now from a combination of derby practice, nightly ab exercises and the push-ups. One unfortunate side affect is my wrists have started aching more. I've heard of some modifications to the push-up that may help with wrist strain and may switch to that for next week.

Is anyone doing push-ups on their off days? I'm tempted to do girly style push-ups on my off days to 1) help boost my still low self-esteem in this area and 2) help with the muscle development a little more. But I'm concerned doing anything outside of "the program" will be cheating or make things worse!

I notice that at least some of you are well exceeding your initial tests after just two weeks AND after doing 4 sets of push ups. That's just amazing. I'm not quite there yet, but I'll try to join that club next week!
