Yikes! Who's picking the QotD and how the hell do they know to ask such good questions?

Props to Ben T for a painfully good answer to the best breakup song QotD.

As if that question wasn't tough enough, now comes another question aimed right at me and my current wonderful situation.

My warning label would be "Warning, Shock Label Attached" "Keep upright, level and free from jarring forces"

QotD: Top 5 Video Games

What's on your Top 5 video games list?

I learned about this QotD from Sippey's blog and I also enjoyed his answer for number 1. Mike doesn't know it yet, but I've done exhaustive research on MAME cabinets and authentic spinner controls for games like tempest, arkanoid, etc. What Mike also doesn't know is that I have 37 DVDs full of ROMs and such and that yes, Tempest was one of the sole games that drove me in so deep into the MAME/ROM/Emulator world.

Now for my own answers:

1) Guitar Hero II - Already played this, and I can't wait for my own copy.

1.5) Guitar Hero II Wireless Flying Vee guitar with 'feather frets' baby.

2) Grand Turismo Mobile for PSP

3) Project Gotham 1, 2, and 3. I guess that's 3 games. I never bought an Xbox or Xbox360, but I've always wanted to play these.

4) Command and Conquer 3 - One of the best games ever made. They take their time, but every new installment in that series always pushes gaming in general forward.

5) Unreal Tournament 2007 - Again, purely for gameplay value. Not the must stunning visual masterpiece one can have with a video game, but the pace is great, and different play modes make this game something I'm wanting..

Too much time...

This is a dusted off gem. This is the very first car I raced. This car is production number #2 of the 1984 Nissan 300ZX turbo. It was given to Izzy and Luis Sanchez for winning a championship in a 280ZX in showroom stock class.

The car was raced day 1. and the car is still alive, although needing a lot of TLC. This car is not a pretty car. In fact people see it and snicker. But, don't race against it. I set track records at Sears Point, Laguna, and Thunderhill in this car. I had a margin of victory of 75 seconds in this car. Cars I have raced and beat with this car include Euro Spec E36 M3, Ford Mustang Cobra GT, Corvette Z-06, Corevette with a Rippy 500+HP drag racing motor, and my favorite beat, a Ferrari 355 Challenge racecar. Beating the ferrari was only half as fun as listening to that thing winding up as we drag race out of the exit of turn 7 at sears. That's what it's all about.

This clip below is me being way too much of a nerd with video and a racecar. I put in a normal in-car and put another camera that faced out the back.

This race is the very last race of the year. It's called a contingency dash, and it's a shorter sprint race for bonus points towards the championship. The clip below is my 11th straight win that year and I had already locked up the championship so I decided I would start dead last and see how I could do. I had 2 corvettes up front I had to worry about. But as you can see, I do just fine. In the first lap I make it to 2nd place. ;-) That's fun as hell too.

Car Control, not.

This is me driving a very high strung Audi A4 quattro 2.8 B4 Chassis. Front wheel, rear wheel, 4 wheel. I could go on for days. This is me providing a very clear example of being 'behind' the car. I'm trying to catch up to it instead of being ahead of it and controlling it.. This slide started because of rear brake lockup, having my brake bias set wrong. On every slide, there is always a pause. Every slide is different, but always 'wait' or better yet 'know' when the pause in the slide happens, and then catch it. Otherwise, you look slly like below.

Ah, Ol' Bessy. My first race car. Purchased from Turner. This car is a timex. It has 6-7 full seasons as well as a 12 hour and two 25 hour races.. Thanks to my friend Ramesh for putting this over produced gem of a video together.

I'm pretty sure I would close the glass door but make sure the nice kitty cat ends up between the screen and the slider. That's a video to blow up and project into the fireplace at Thanksgiving.

Sounds easy enough. How could one lose? I mean a drink an hour is how fast everyone figures the body can deal with a measly 12 oz bottle of beer. Many have heard of the myth and challenge, but few have actually tried it. Below is evidence of what happens when you attempt the crazy test of 1 drink (shot, wine, beer) at least 1 per hour for 24 hours (24 drinks max) and decide to play chess about 1/3rd of the way in. Who knew chess could get so close to violence?

Level3 Construction leaving a little to be desired...

Another shot of a UK buildout. Normally you see chain link fences for walls and thus you can see what competitors use for systems (in this case primary competitor is only 30 feet away).

These are level3's "Security" walls. Yes, one cannot see through them, however walking through them looks pretty trivial. Climbing up is looking more dangerous now...
